Snowboarding is so fun. But when you’re on a mission to make snowboarding fun, sometimes you get skunked. But that doesn’t mean you get skunked on life. Sometimes, chasing fun snowboarding makes regular old life way more exhilarating.
Bryan Fox, Austin Smith, Bob Plumb prove that point in Bizarre, a trip the trio took to the Himalayas last winter. They were trying to ride in Kashmir, apparently the highest lift in the world, when someone was tragically killed in an avalanche in the area. A random connection sent the group to Nepal, where they hooked up with a friend to ride near Annapurna Base Camp. And they kinda scored some good conditions. Bizarre is edited by Jake Price, from a collection of the team’s cell phone vids. While the real riding doesn’t come until late in the film, you’ll experience the crazy, “bizarre,” energy of Central Asia.
