The Inertia

If you needed more proof that Tanner Hall is enjoying life after competition, then “Ring the Alarm,” is it. Hall, with a group of talented–albeit lesser-known–skiers and snowboarders (which makes his flick all the more watchable), put together a pretty sick movie that was two years in the making. The opening scene from the unit’s time in Haines, Alaska is a radical way to start: avalanches plunder nearly every line. “Haines is a special spot in the world, rowdy as you want to get,” Hall says in the opener. “It could of gone a lot smoother but at the end of the day we had a really good two years filming up there. You’re blessed to be in the mountains anytime up in Haines because it’s nothing like you’ll experience anywhere else in the world.”

Hall included friends like Sam Cohen, Todd Ligare, Neil and Ian Provo John Spriggs and others and went on a full tour, having what looks like the time of his life. And then offered the goods to us, for free. Pretty solid preseason watch.
