These days, people are serious about living for less. And having less of an impact on the environment. Plus there’s something about the Boston area that is nurturing the tiny house revolution. Last we spoke on the subject, we brought you Relaxshacks, tiny A-frame homes created in Massachusetts.

This time, it’s Getaway, conceptualized by the Millennial Housing Lab, which was founded by  Harvard Business, Law and Design students, a group of young adults looking to change the way we live: meaning they want affordable housing that’s easy on the environment.

But at this point, these cool designs are more of the vacation variety. With Getaway, you can book one of their shacks in specific locations in the New England area. And the fledgling company is looking to expand. Right now, the 160-square-foot homes, that are on wheels, are only for rent to “get away” for the weekend. They sleep four people and are around $100 per night, total (dogs are allowed).  No word yet on whether the group will start selling its mini homes. If they do, they’ve got a winner for skiers, snowboarders, surfers, mountain bikers and any general outdoor bum.
