The Inertia

Bears can be a nuisance. They can be savage. They can be scary. But cubs are cute. Unfortunately, once they get used to human contact, things don’t often go well for them. But maybe it’ll be different for this little guy, who approached Brian Jordan at Northstar in Lake Tahoe recently. Jordan was fully aware that human contact probably wasn’t ideal: “Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s not the best for the cub,” he wrote.

Here’s hoping the best for the little guy. Bears are a bit of a problem in the Tahoe area, scavenging garbage bins for food and often coming into inhabited places looking for snacks. It was their home first, after all.
