The snow is melting off the mountains of the West in epic proportions at the moment. As happens every spring. And this is Tumwater Canyon, east of Seattle, Washington near the town of Wenatchee, at high flows one of the toughest whitewater test pieces in the country. And this is high flows–10,000 CFS–which makes this more of a carnage reel for Ben Marr and Sam Grafton who stepped up to the plate earlier this spring. This is one piece of water where coming out of your kayak is not an option. And they don’t. Because they’re pretty badass paddlers.
