Wow, how lucky is Heather Friesen? The former University of Hawaii volleyball player was hiking to a waterfall outside of Honolulu in 2016. The footage was just recently released and it shows her taking a wrong step on the slick rock and then plummeting some 50 feet. According to reports she suffered a collapsed lung, ten broken ribs and a fractured scapula. But with the help of two random hikers, she was able to get airlifted out of the backcountry to safety. Good Morning America recently picked up the story.
