So here’s a lesson in how to stay calm in an otherwise gnarly situation. Mark McMorris, during his first run in the Alaskan backcountry, knocks off a fairly significant slide as he drops into a steep panel of snow. Travis Rice, showing absolutely zero panic, calmly cheers on Mark to “Keep running buddy!” You can then see Mark traversing up to the terrain feature to get out of the way. The Canadian’s caption was fairly spot-on: “AK is no joke….We’ll be back.”
