Now this is fairly brilliant. Vermont’s Killington Resort recently spoofed the surf scene from Francis Ford Coppola’s iconically-crafted Apocalypse Now, a classic in the movie-making industry based off the book Heart of Darkness. Robert Duvall plays Colonel Kilgore, famously loving the smell of napalm in the morning. Well, Killington decided to use the timeless scene to create winter hype. “Our creative guys do a great job and had a really good idea and they just went with it,” said Fiona Gomes with the resort’s marketing team.
