Steel Lafferty is a Florida-based wakeboarder who obviously likes to step outside the normal fake-lake park setup, and this is stepping way outside that. Lafferty uses a winch system to tow over these gorgeous waterfalls in Chile’s Siete Tazas National Park.
The Siete section of the Rio Claro is famous in the whitewater world. Known as the “7 Teacups,” it’s a well-traveled locale by international kayakers looking to get their waterfall huck on. And, as the waterfalls aren’t overly difficult, it’s a relatively safe spot to do it (although there are more difficult sections on the Claro). Lafferty certainly makes them look fun.
