Wildcards are the best. No matter the sport, give the local shredder armed with local knowledge a chance to charge and they’re going to wreak havoc on the rankings. Aymar Navarro lives in the Spanish Pyrenees near Andorra, where the Freeride World Tour is currently holding back-to-back events to make up for poor conditions in the Alps. Navarro’s wildcard is well-deserved as the play-by-play team for the FWT can barely contain themselves during his run (BTW, the FWT always has the best talent on the mics). Navarro doesn’t go inverted or spin, but he sticks the hell out of every landing. And the margin for error was tiny, even if the terrain wasn’t.
