You’re flipping through the tube and you hear the classic 60 Minutes jingle… what do you see? Is it the latest economic downturn? Threats by ISIS and or some other terrorist organization on US soil? The war on drugs? Perhaps it’s another oil spill or a celebrity crashing their car doing 80 while under the influence. Nope. Not this time. This time it’s our beloved shark man, Mick Fanning.
As surprising as it was to see him on 60 Minutes, learning that he saw a shark on his very first time back in the water since the J-Bay incident blew our minds. It just goes to show how pervasive shark encounters are these days. With the luck Mick’s had lately, most non-surfers would think he’s is crazy for ever going back in the water. But the champ doesn’t mind. Well, at least it won’t keep him from surfing.
