Last week, an armed militia stormed an empty federal building on the Malheur Wildlife Refuge near Burns, Oregon. The group–led by Ammon Bundy–has sworn to occupy the building in protest until Dwight Hammond Jr. and his son Steven, two local ranchers who were convicted of arson, have their federal prison sentences revoked. It’s serious business and the debate on whether or not this armed group qualifies as domestic terrorists rages on. But that hasn’t stopped Twitter from lighting up as users are taking the crisis less serious than local law enforcement, obviously. Here are a few of our favorites that played to the militias, ahem, redneck sensibilities:

Today in selective US history: Tax dodging, white ranchers claim federal land as “their own.” Irony not lost on Native Americans. #YallQaeda — Domenick Stampone (@DomStampone) January 4, 2016
If your master plan is to overthrow the world’s most powerful government and you attack a remote bird sanctuary you might be #YallQaeda — annie post (@apwriter) January 4, 2016
