From spine-tingling step-down jumps to backyard dirt hits, mountain biker Carson Storch has built a blue-collar career out of high-consequence rides and harder crashes.
By his own admission, Carson is a blue collar athlete of the axle-sports world. No wonder DECKED, the makers of workmen-inspired truck bed drawer systems, liked him enough to sponsor him.
“I do dumb stuff on my bike and get paid to do it,” Storch shrugs nonchalantly.
This “dumb stuff” includes jumping out of perfectly good helicopters for cameras, and ending up with a broken collarbone for his efforts. Or face planting after (kind of) landing massive airs.
His injuries paid off, because he also earned his way onto the podium of the FMB World Tour and the Red Bull Rampage (twice). These gnarly displays of guts and glory launched him into the “ass-puckering” world of big mountain riding, where he basically teaches a masterclass in 360s.
His truckbed can’t fool us though; it’s loaded up with a bike mounted on his Cargoglide for Drawer System, while his drawers house his collections of jumper cables, emergency tools, and a hefty first aid kit. He might be a big shot, but his truck bed says he’s ready to put in the work.

On his off time, he gravitates back towards his blue-collar roots: he grabs his gloves from his DECKED drawers and hops aboard his Bobcat E50 Mini excavator.
Storch converted the backyard of his Bend, Oregon, home into a Red Bull-worthy dirt track with the help of his favorite big-boy toy. “I just think moving dirt is fun,” he says. “It’s as much of a passion as riding my bike.”
