There’s some big ocean around Australia. And in June, that ocean whipped up some serious swell. “When you see a storm that’s as big as Australia that literally fits between NSW & New Zealand and just sits there for five days,” wrote the creator of the short film you see above, Tim Bonython, “you know there’s going to be some great surfing action to chase.”
Bonython pointed his camera at Wayne Cleveland, up and coming surfer/lifeguard Max McGuigan, Kirk Flintoff, Laurie Towner, Dylan Longbottom, Nathan and Byron Bartlett, Russell Bierke, Paul Morgan and amputee surfer Ollie Dousset, all of whom are more than capable of tackling whatever the ocean can throw at them. And what he captured was pure magic.
