In the second of a three-part installment, Red Bull follows four local Hawaiian surfers and provides a detailed account of their preparation leading up to the very prestigious 2015 Volcom Pipe Pro. Jamie O’Brien, Kalani Chapman, Ezekiel Lau, and Koa Rothman traverse throughout the North Shore of Oahu, elucidating the different approaches and perspective in preparing for one of the most important contests of the year. Some want to win for themselves, friends, or family, while others, such as Ezekiel Lau, seek to begin a strong campaign on the 2014 WQS in order to qualify for the 2016 WCT. From rigorous training regimes to dialing equipment, these competitors are simply doing whatever is necessary to succeed on the North Shore’s ultimate proving ground: Banzai Pipeline.
