The Inertia

“Park it anywhere,” a man yells, right before the ironically named Hornblower, either a cruise ship or whale watching boat, depending on the source, smashes into a San Diego wharf. The video above, taken a few days ago, shows  the vessel coming in a little too hot while spectators scatter. According to reports from the San Diego fire department, three passengers were taken to the hospital with traumatic injuries. Four more were treated on-scene before being released.

Fire captain Joe Ambador told KUSI that the cause of the crash was a malfunctioning propulsion system. Passengers aboard the ship stayed on board for over an hour until a tug boat was able to haul the Hornblower to another part of the dock.
