Southern California boasts some fine surf, but by and large it’s not the best in the world. Still, for what the region lacks in Indo-like thumping quality it makes up for in consistency. And a two-board quiver, if done right, is enough to get the job done.
Case in point, Troy Elmore surfing a handshaped fish and log around home with a few clips from south of the border thrown in for good measure.
There’s been chatter on the internet of late about just how far you can take a fish – a design that’s often been mischaracterized as a groveler. Troy’s surfing in the hollow stuff seems to flout that reputation.
