On the first day of the Founders’ Cup, a cable park in Waco, Texas, pulled the same move that Kelly Slater pulled on Adriano de Souza’s world title day. An attempted upstage to end all upstages. BSR Cable Park dropped the first footage of their own wave pool, created by American Wave Machines. Now, they’ve released a second view, and we’ll be damned if it isn’t better than the first.

Question do remain, however—there’s no one surfing the wave for scale, so it’s difficult to tell exactly how big it is. Rumor has it that the wave is six feet, and according to BSR, they “produce any size, shape and direction of each wave.”

Pricing falls squarely in the affordable range, with an hour of pool time starting at $60 an hour, $80 for four hours, and $100 for a full day.
