The notion that surfing is a vehicle through which enlightenment can be achieved is so trite these days. Even so, there’s something about the video above that compels, even though at its core it’s that same old trope. Maybe it’s the narration, the sounds. Perhaps the imagery. Maybe they all work together to create something that’s worth clicking the little triangle in the center.
And here’s the best line: “Waves wouldn’t be so fun to ride if they didn’t crash.” Chew on that little metaphor.
