Artificial intelligence is getting terrifyingly real. Deep fakes are everywhere, and they’re getting so good it can be tough to tell what’s fake and what’s not. Take, for example, this AI clip of a gorilla riding a surfboard.
Yes, it’s obviously not real. But it’s obviously not real not because it looks fake, but because a gorilla cannot do what this gorilla is doing. Turkeys, maybe, but hell, most surfers can’t do what it’s doing, but that’s beside the point.
“This short video was generated entirely using AI, showcasing the mind-blowing capabilities of AI video generation,” explains the creator on a YouTube channel called Silverback Trucker. “Made entirely with text prompts and imagination – no actors, no CGI team, just some wild creativity.”
