The Inertia

We’re going on five months since Puerto Rico was devastated by Hurricane Maria. The island is still fully in recovery mode, but slowly things are getting back to normal – demonstrating Puerto Ricans’ incredible resilience.

This short, according to its creators, Piti Pua Productions, was shot years ago, but its release was delayed for several reasons. “This video was filmed years ago and was put on the back burners for quite some time due to work, natural disasters (Hurricane Maria) among many other things but its finally done,” they explain.

“This video is a collaboration of an amazing surfer Amy Murphree, a super talented surfboard shaper Ricky Muñiz and a extremely cool local band called Los Walters with their song ‘Toca Madera.’ We did this for the love of the arts and love of our beautiful island! Hope you enjoy Puerto Rico’s best!”
