Taylor Knox and big open faces go together like milk and cookies. Spaghetti and meatballs even. And even in a world full of uncertainties, there’s one belief that will forever hold true with the utmost veracity: T. Knox is an absolute legend who will be revered until the end of time. Period. His style and knack showed (and continues to show) the world what power surfing is really about. His remarkable rail game serves as a foundation for thousands of surfers around the world, including the majority of elite surfers competing at a professional level.
Taylor’s been such an inspiration that he should be entitled to royalty checks of some sort. How great would it be if a percent of every check given to a professional surfer was taken out and given to Taylor Knox as compensation? It would be called the T. Knox tax. At 44 years old, he’s still the quintessence of power surfing, and he makes it rain in just about every lineup he enters. Old boy’s still got it!
