The internet’s a funny thing, ain’t it? We’ve all become so used to the idea of free content that when something truly great comes out, something that just a few years ago we would have shelled out for, we just kind of shrug and enjoy it for free.
You could argue that it’s great for the viewer, but it also cheapens (literally) the whole experience. Take, for example, the 36-minute surf film from Hunter Martinez you see above. Created by Hunter Martinez—mostly out of his own pocket—and shot in California, Panama, Portugal, and Mexico, it features Shane Borland, Eithan Osborne, Gunner Day, Micky Clarke, Wil Reid and more. Lost In Thought is one of those films that proves it’s not the budget that, it’s the passion.
