The Inertia

Surfing can be about a lot of different things to different people. For some, it’s an expression of creativity. For others, a communion with nature. For a special few, though, it’s a way to repeatedly see how close you can get to dying without actually doing it.

Beefs T.V. is a YouTube channel that has logged many hours of footage of the latter pursuit, and their latest strike mission to Cabo was one of the best examples of the art form.

At an event held by foam board brand Catch Surf, entrants spun a “Wheel of Shred” and were randomly assigned a board — a fun way to spice up a friendly competition. The kicker, though, is that they then took whatever boogie board, finless foamie or log they were assigned out into Cabo’s famous thundering wall of sketchy shorebreak slabs.

What ensued was utter chaos, in the best way. Check out that, along with a series of other Cabo-based shenanigans, in the video below.
