There’s a lot to be said for surfboard design. They’ve come a long way since the days of the alaia, but in the end, a surfboard is just a floaty little something that a person can stand up on. All the other things, like rocker and fins and rails, are just bells and whistles. Ben Gravy proved that by taking a piece of plywood, cutting it with a jig saw (someone get that guy a skill saw, asap), and surfing on it. Not just surfing on it. In fact, he’s kind of ripping on it.
