A little while ago, I took a trip to the Gran Canaria, the best of the Canary Islands for bodyboarding. Once there, I met up with some of the best prone riders in the world, David Rodríguez, Kevin Orihuela, Eloy Rodríguez, Saul de León, Dailos Rodríguez and bodyboard world champion Amaury Lavernhe, among others.
For the Canary Islands, the weather wasn’t perfect. It was cloudy and relatively cold. The waves, however, showed up nearly every single day. Gran Canaria is a paradise for bodyboarding.
