Tofino’s Mathea Olin is a pretty damn good surfer, having developed her cold-water skills on Vancouver Island. But Pete Devries and Noah Cohen help her get her education in cold-water slab hunting, which it looks as though she was more than ready for. These waves are only accessible via boat – and it’s nothing like an Indonesian boat trip. Red Bull released this piece on Mathea’s adventure this week and it’s a gorgeous tribute to Canadian surf, and Mathea’s resolve.
