The Inertia

Kai Lenny has been making things happen with his new vlog. And it’s actually pretty interesting to listen to (and watch), like this episode from the North Shore where he talks about working his way in at Pipe. One of the highlights, though, is a tow session with Derek Doener at a place called Paradise, just outside Haleiwa Harbor (click to 9:10 if you want it immediately). Kai uses a kiteboard that doubles as a tow-board. Yeah, he was strapped in, but still, this air is unreal. The off-axis three was almost like a core on snow.

Kai has thrown fairly-iconic “tow” airs before, like this giant method at jaws. This time, it took him a couple of tries to stick it but could one human be any more athletic?
