In the world of surfing, there are a lot of photographers. Like, a LOT. The game has changed drastically in the last decade or so, and now it seems that anyone with a new iPhone and an Instagram handle can hold their own. But through it all, there’s been one guy who is a gold standard for the art of surf photography: Chris Burkard. Not just surfing, either—Burkhard isn’t a one-trick pony.
He’s a real-life explorer. He’s a creative director, a speaker, and an author. He’s worked with Fortune 500 companies, done TED talks, and designed product lines. No, he’s not a one-trick pony.
In the most recent installment of Mark Occhilupo’s Occ-Cast, Burkard talks to Occy about a whole range of things, and it’s clear that he’s got a very interesting life.
