Chris Hemsworth is back in the lineup. In recent years, it seems like the Australian actor is more at home in the waves than on the screen, and he recently shared a social media post from one of his enviable surf trips with his family.
The actor, 42, may be best known for playing Marvel’s Thor, but he’s always been a surfer at heart. Over the years, his surf-related travels have taken to Swiss wave pools, tropical beaches, and Kelly Slater’s Abu Dhabi wave park. He also apparently risked getting gobbled up by a shark at one point, so you can’t fault him for lack of dedication.
This time, Hemsworth was on a surf trip to Hawaii with his wife (Fast and the Furious alum Elsa Pataky) and children. In a post to Instagram, he reported back from their stay at 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay, which turned out to be an unsurprisingly incredible experience.
“Another amazing surf trip with my kids,” wrote Hemsworth in the caption. “Always a big dream of mine to be able to check the forecast, pack the bags and chase some surf with them. I’ll never take it for granted. It felt like overnight things went from me teaching them to surf to them making me feel completely inadequate as they dominate the lineup with such confidence!”
