Last year, 111.3 million people tuned into the Super Bowl live. There’s no way to know if this year’s game will top 2017 viewership numbers, but either way that’s a lot of eyes. A lot of eyes that this year will watch as Kelly Slater joins a chorus of famous people singing “I love beer!” in a Michelob Ultra ad that will air live sometime during the game.

Michelob Ultra, if you recall, is one of the World Surf League’s primary drink sponsors, and given Robert Slater’s relationship with the league it only makes sense he’d be the prime representative of a sport whose governing body is trying to look more and more like the NFL each day. Not to mention, Kelly’s got the vocal range.
