Clay Marzo’s got some magic happening. The most interesting thing about him, probably, isn’t his surfing—it’s how he makes us wonder what we’re missing. Edits from the Marzo camp don’t drop too often, but when they do, they are absolutely mind-boggling. And with Marzo’s aversion to being in the public eye, we’ll bet there are so many insane things that simply get left in the water.
Rockstar Energy put together a two-part series called This Is Clay that’s old footage pulled from the archives. The first installment, above, is Clay at home on Maui, while the second, below, is a long-ago trip to mainland Mexico. It is proof that Clay Marzo surfs better than pretty much anyone else on the planet, and he doesn’t even care who sees it.
