Colin Moran doesn’t really do standard edits. If you’ve ever sat down for Pumping Iron you know anything goes when watching this dude surf. Arnold plus Bananas and Blow plus some smooth, smooth style. So it only makes sense that while every professional surfer has a shooter with about seven grand worth of video equipment hanging around at all times, Moran just has a dude post up on the beach with a tripod and a camcorder. Actually they probably didn’t even bother with the tripod. And who needs digital anyway? VHS is making it’s comeback, and Moran’s ode to Bodhi’s backside barrel steez (it’s at the 1:50 mark) is perfect proof.
