The U.S. Open is in full swing on the south side of California’s Huntington Beach Pier. And given the relative mediocrity of the surf in and around H.B. in summer months, CTers and QS warriors in town for the event can often be spotted making the trek down the trail to Lower Trestles on days they aren’t competing. Such was the case recently with Conner and Parker Coffin who did battle with Orange County traffic on the 405 freeway to score a pre-U.S. Open warm-up.
