Plenty of people called it the swell of the century. They said there was nothing like this for more than 20 years, and we happened to be in the right place at the right time. The “Century Swell” at Kandui was simply epic. These Brazilians, Jean da Silva, Franklin Serpa, Petterson Thomaz, Paulo Moura and Luel Felipe had been there and definitely enjoyed the moment, with Aussie Craig Anderson catching what’s become an iconic wave in his career. Three days and more than nine hours of surfing each day. That’s right, nearly 30 hours of massive, life changing barrels offered up by a single swell.
