Day 1 of The Vans World Cup at Sunset Beach was heavy, to say the least. The wind was howling, the waves were massive, and everyone was charging. The Vans World Cup is the second event of the 2014 Triple Crown of Surfing and the last Prime Series event of the year. Consequently, there was no shortage of man-turns, lippers, and broken boards as our beloved competitors put it all on line in hopes to qualify, or re-qualify, for the 2015 World Championship Tour.
