In case you haven’t heard, Jaws went next-level over the last few days. It wasn’t a perfect swell, by any means. It was, however, a very, very large one. The world’s best big wave surfers packed their bags and pointed themselves towards what many consider to be the premiere big wave on the planet, and although it wasn’t what many of them hoped for, it sure did make for a memorable day.
“Jaws was definitely an amazing experience being on a jet ski and just feeling the raw energy of Mother Nature,” wrote Etienne Aurelius, the film wizard responsible for the Instacut you see above. “For years now I’ve been wanting to shoot Jaws from a different perspective using A series of different anamorphic lenses exposed at wide open apertures. I definitely got what I was looking for and some!”
