Israel is not normally thought of as a surfing destination. Of course, surfing in Israel cannot be mentioned without mentioning Doc Paskowitz, a man who did more for surfing there than anyone else. And although you may have heard of Doc’s legendary pursuits there, you probably did not know that it gets so damn good. The video above might just be footage of the best conditions in memory in a place that is way, way off your surfing radar. On January 14th, at Sokolov Beach, Israel showed just what it’s really capable of.
