It’s probably the 2:50 of slow motion barrels that immediately screams daydream time. But soak up everything packed into just under the following three minutes: an Indonesian excursion with an endless supply of barrels, no other surfers, backdoor take off after backdoor take off followed by firing out of the proper end from each with relative ease (at least that’s how Rozsa makes it look).
Finding these conditions piled into one scenario is, in reality, probably a once in a lifetime deal. Indonesia itself is popular enough that the standard destinations have packed lineups, so you’re likely to share your perfect waves. But on the bright side, Nick Rozsa just reminded us you can veer off the road just a tad and still find something remote, empty and oh so perfect.
