Sometimes, a bit of extra weight is a boon to your surfing. Case in point: this guy at Rincon. He may have set the other two surfers up for a combo wipeout, but when the first good swell of the year comes sweeping down the coast, everyone’s on the A-grade breaks. “Every man for himself,” as the saying goes. Crowds are a given at Rincon and this surfer wasn’t going to let that get him down. If you think this is the only fat guy ruling lineups, think again.
