Felipe Cesarano’s nickname is “Gordo,” which in his native tongue of Portuguese means “fat.” But physical weight aside, Felipe’s nickname can be applied to his surfing. The guy charges in heavy surf and pulls into some chunky barrels. So much so that he was granted a 2016 WSL Big Wave Ride of the Year nomination for a heaving tube in Puerto Escondido. The latest edit from Gordo shows him tucking under the lip backside in some pumping Indo point breaks. Whether it’s charging in XXL heavy water or threading the needle through perfect Indo tubes, Gordo’s clips carry some serious weight.
