You know those people you see surfing at your local spot who are miles better than everyone else? You don’t necessarily know their name or their face, but you sure do know their surfing. That’s Trenton “Tarpits” Phillips, a man who rides boards of the wave sliding and pavement rolling variety very, very well.
Phillips is a Jacksonville man, and as such, he’s just been served up a winter full of more waves than most people knew what to do with. Here’s a sampling of a few, courtesy of John Massey.
