Remember when Frankie Harrer surfed massive Teahupoo? Twice? Yeah, us too. It’s hard to forget. Frankie is a really, really good surfer. But there’s only so much surf porn one can watch–air reverse after air reverse after turn after turn gets old quick. So when someone puts together an edit with Frankie, a really good surfer, and mixes it up with some serious filmmaking chops, it’s a good thing.
The video you see above was shot–obviously–in France. After a few days in Paris, wandering the beautiful streets and sucking up the culture, Frankie and Taylor Curran hopped a jet and headed to Biarritz, where Frankie paddled out for Germany at the ISA World Surfing Games. And, of course, they traipsed along the southwestern coastline, from Hossegor to Biarritz. The result? A pretty little surf film that’s a whole lot different than anything else.
