Right about now is the time when the surfing world’s shift to the North Shore. The window for the Hawaiian Pro swings open, those big swells start to fire up, and the poundings become real. While Pipeline is generally the focus, Haleiwa can be thought of as a sort of backbone. The town itself is one of the best parts of Oahu, and the wave out front is the first jewel in the Triple Crown for good reason.
