Longboarding is a beautiful thing. Everything is more drawn out; less jam and more juice. It’s amazing to watch a truly good longboarder, one who mixes the perfect amount of style and talent. Too much style and not enough skill looks forced. Too much skill and not enough style looks chunky.
Harley Ingleby, a world champ, has the recipe down pat. Although Ingleby’s a guy that earned his championship on a longboard, he’s an incredible surfer on all manner of craft. And this short clip is a pretty good indicator of his ease and comfort in the barrel and on different surfboards–which should be every surfer’s goal. That and missing a board flinging through the barrel, like what happens at 1:40, which Harley does with ease.
