Nico von Lerchenfeld uses what looks like a winch to tear apart the man-made waves of Surf Snowdonia. It wasn’t painless, apparenlty. Lerchenfeld outlined how he and his team barely made this happen, here. He took a gnalry spill early in the filming when was whipped onto his face attemping what looked like some sort of grind against the wall. And the whole team came down with the norovirus (yikes).
