The Inertia is based in Southern California. At least that’s the place we call home with our rad little office in Venice and our even more rad dogs that brighten the place up.
We remind you of that to offer a little context of our perspective on this past winter: it kinda sucked. For us. Aside from the occasional missions to find waves, life on the West Coast was not up to snuff in the barrel-finding market. And that’s why we grimaced our way through an entire winter of constantly being told how awesome things were on the other side. East Coasters grinned ear to ear for days on end. They wrote and emailed and texted with stories of finding perfect waves in places they usually expected to find nothing at all. And those emails and texts usually came with photographic or video evidence.
It’s May now and we’re still jealous. You won the first half of 2018, East Coast. You won.
