The old SUP to alaia transfer is nothing new. A guy named Fred Compagnon has been doing it for quite some time (see below). But it’s all new to Kai Lenny. And like Kai says, it’s just what he needs: another sport to pack in his already-stuffed board bags. Still, it looks pretty rad, especially watching Fred get barelled out of his mind on the thing. So Kai gave it a try in Hossegor, France recently. Kai actually tranfers from an inflatable SUP to an alaia with footstraps, if we’re getting technical here.
