There’s a stretch of sand between Snapper and Greenmount on the Gold Coast called Rainbow Bay. It’s a good stretch of sand in general, but as of late, it’s been a really good stretch of sand. Pair that with some of the best swell in recent history, a land full of really good surfers, and you’ve got a recipe for a place with not only perfect waves, but almost perfectly-ridden ones.
Mick Fanning, Wade Carmichael, Nic Vasicek, Sheldon Simkus, and many others were all there to reap the fruits of a winter in Australia full of waves.
