A lot of people get stuck on the idea that surfers are separated into groups depending on what kind of boards they’re riding. Die hard shortboarders, longboard-exclusive, etc. But surfing is supposed to be fun, and like they say, variety is the spice of life. Spice up your life. Spend a while learning to ride something weird. Then spend some more time learning to ride something weirder. Ride anything. Ride everything. If you’re having fun, you’re doing it right.
